On the day you were born it began

None of you walked; nobody ran

While you were crying and eating and sleeping

Slowly around the sun you were creeping

 

Grownups forget what babies don’t know

Around the sun we constantly go

Six hundred million miles every year

To travel the circle from there back to here

We could ride on a planet and never fall off

Wherever you live – it could be any place

You’ve finished one more complete orbit through space
